Privacy policy

Your photos are personal. Alba is designed to respect that. This policy covers Alba and support requests. Oceanic Designs AB, Sweden, is responsible for this information. For privacy questions, contact us.

Your photos stay yours

You do not need an account to use Alba. Your catalog, previews, edits and preferences are stored on your device. We do not upload your photos for analytics or diagnostics, sell your data, or use it for advertising tracking.

Helping Alba improve

Anonymous usage statistics help us understand which features are useful. Redacted technical reports help us investigate crashes, freezes and errors and improve reliability. These include information about the app, your device and relevant app activity.

Our goal is to keep this reporting separate from your identity. We redact potentially identifying content from diagnostics. A random installation identifier helps us relate reports across launches without knowing who you are.

Services we use

Apple handles app distribution and payments through the App Store under its privacy policy. We do not receive your payment-card details. Alba verifies purchases to enable paid features.

Sentry, Google and Cloudflare may process information outside the European Economic Area. Data-processing terms: Sentry, Google and Cloudflare.

Your choices

Usage analytics and diagnostic reporting are optional and do not affect Alba’s features. Both start enabled. You can turn either off in Alba → Settings → Privacy; changes apply the next time you open Alba.

Contacting us

For general questions or feedback, use our contact form. The contact form uses a temporary security cookie, never for tracking.

In Alba, choose Help → Send Feedback for ideas or requests, or Help → Report an Issue for problems. With issue reports, you can choose to include diagnostics and redacted logs to help us investigate and find related reports for your Alba installation. You review everything before sending the email.

Your information and rights

We keep reports and support correspondence only as long as needed to investigate issues and provide support. We rely on our legitimate interests in keeping Alba reliable and providing support as the legal basis for diagnostic reporting, support correspondence and spam prevention.

Contact us to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information where applicable, or to object to its use. We may need installation information to locate reports and cannot identify individual records in anonymous analytics. You can also complain to Sweden’s privacy authority, IMY, or your local data protection authority.
